These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of relai and its related services (the “Service”), available at relai.team, operated by relai (“relai,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
relai is a visual feedback and task-handoff tool for software teams. It allows users to place visual pins on live web pages to capture context such as screenshots, page elements, and URLs, and to hand that context to team members and AI coding agents. We may update, improve, or modify the Service over time.
2. Accounts
To use the Service, you must create an account, including by signing in through a supported third-party provider such as Google or GitHub. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Access or attempt to access data belonging to other workspaces or users without authorization;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the security or integrity of the Service;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law;
- Use the Service to store or transmit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
- Abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage controls; or
- Use the Service to capture or process web pages or data you do not have the right to access.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to annotate and capture content from the web pages on which you install or use relai.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create through the Service, including pins, comments, notes, and captured context (“Your Content”). You grant relai a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your workspace.
You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring it does not violate these Terms or the rights of others.
5. Integrations and Third-Party Services
The Service allows you to connect third-party services, such as AI coding agents (via MCP), issue trackers, and messaging tools. When you enable an integration, you authorize relai to exchange the relevant data with that service to perform the actions you request. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for those services.
6. AI Features
The Service includes features that use AI to generate content, such as enhanced descriptions and briefs derived from your pins. AI-generated output may contain errors or inaccuracies, and you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on or acting upon it. You should not treat AI-generated output as professional advice.
7. Availability
The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We aim to keep the Service running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Fees
Some features of the Service may require payment. If paid plans apply to your use, the applicable pricing and billing terms will be presented to you at the time of purchase.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete Your Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, relai will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold relai harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which relai operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
